Ebay haul

Before Christmas I decided I wanted to treat myself to some stuff from my Wishlist, and some stuff I just randomly stumbled upon that looked awesome. The most expensive thing was the sweater, and the rest combined cost less than that. Here’s what I got, and my thoughts on them. The currencies can be quite different from each other, I’m just listing what they cost at this point when I’m writing this.

Skyrim ‘Ugly’ Christmas Sweater – I love the game, and I’ve been looking for more merch for it for ages, so I was really happy to find this. It’s a very cozy sweater and I wear it as often as I can, even though it’s not Christmas anymore. $49.99

Two linen fabric pillow cases – One with moons and stars and one Harry Potter inspired. They’re not the best material, but what would you expect for the price? At least they didn’t bleed or transfer when washing them so that is a plus. $3.59 per piece.

Blue Lucite Brooch and a Wolf Brooch – They’re both super sturdy and easy to wear. I use the Blue Lucite the most just to add a pop of color to my outfits since they are mostly all  black. C$4.89 for the Blue Lucite and $1.49 for the wolf.

A fake ear cuff –  I love this one because I’ve had piercings in both of my ears but I’ve never been able to keep them because my body rejects pretty much any kind of metal. That’s why I love these fake ear cuffs so I can pretend my ears are still pierced. AU$1.

Victorian inspired choker – I love this one. It looks so elegant and nice and I would definitely pair this with a black dress or a dressy top. $1.78

Black Lace Bracelet – I mostly purchased this to check the quality and it’s actually not that bad. Everything is made pretty sturdy and it has been holding together so far. AU$1.98

Black Velvet Choker – This one was quite flimsy. I had to re-glue it because they had just put a tiny dollop of glue where it wraps around the ring, but it was fairly easy to fix anyways. AU$1

Pearl Headband Jewelry – This one was a fluke. It looked nothing like the listing, and it came broken with pearls spilling everywhere. I gave a negative feedback and the seller tried to bribe me into leaving a positive review instead by refunding 50p. No thanks. £1.24

Dark Forest Tapestry – This is one of those where you get what you pay for. It looks nice, but the fabric is so sheer so I would recommend hanging this on a darker wall for it to look nicer. I wanted to cover something up but it shines through. It makes my reading nook look cozy though. AU$7.94

So yeah, that was my semi-successful eBay haul! Have you purchased anything exciting from eBay lately?

Outfit of the day

I’m so bad at posts like these! I never know what to write, because my clothes are just plain and that’s the way I like it. 90% of it is black so it doesn’t really show up too well either in pictures.

Anyways, what I’m wearing is a powder pink hoodie from H&M, a black tunic from H&M and my crescent moon necklace (from Wish) just to add in some color. That’s my solution for everything too, too much black? Wear a necklace. Seems to work well.

Pairing that with black leggings from H&M. I hate wearing proper pants so black leggings is the way to go. That or jeggings or treggings or whatever they are called.

And lastly some super cute winter shoes I bought off of eBay. They cost around 100 NOK ( roughtly £10 ) and they are so soft and warm. They’re black with white fur inside, and they have black bows on the side. I don’t think they will be great for wet, sloppy snow but they will work when it’s more dry outside.

What are you wearing today?

I have never been the biggest fan of jewelry..

I was very active when I was younger so I hated wearing necklaces, I never got my ears pierced, I didn’t like wearing rings because I was always in the woods or out in the fields and I would just lose them. My love for jewelry has certainly only been present for the past few years and I have purchased a few treasured pieces that I just love wearing. I don’t wear jewelry every single day but I do love to accessorize whenever I’m going out, no matter what occasion it is for. I don’t care much for handbags, sunglasses, shawls, scarves or anything else so jewelry is the way to go for me.

When it comes to buying jewelry, I rarely spend a lot, I know I’m either going to break it or lose it either way so I try to buy as cheap as possible. I don’t enjoy mass produced either, so I mostly purchase handmade jewelry off of Etsy. It makes me feel better that I can directly support whoever created it. There’s nothing wrong with purchasing jewelry from other stores or people, I just do what I think is right. Anyways, here we go:

Amethyst cluster choker (probably not a real crystal, it is really heavy though) and a faceted glass choker, both with velvet bands. These two are my favorites and I love wearing them. Chokers do make me feel slightly claustrophobic at times but they’re both so pretty that it doesn’t really matter. Both are from sellers on Etsy.

A metal dream catcher necklace. I love wearing this, but I don’t wear it as often as I probably should. It has a tendency of turning around and that can be a tiny bit annoying when you have to turn it back again and again. I don’t really remember where I purchased this.

A chunk of tinted glass (they advertised it as some kind of quartz but it’s just glass) and a crescent moon, both from wish! I’ve been really into moon jewelry lately, been browsing Etsy for new pieces but haven’t found any that I wouldn’t regret purchasing.

A 9 piece ring set, purchased from wish for like a dollar! These are so cute and I love wearing all nine of them at the same time. They are of varying sizes so that you can have more than one on a finger (like this). I really wish my fingers were more slender and longer so that I could fit even more of them on.

And lastly I have a gold plated ring that I inherited from my grandmother when she passed away in December, and a blue faceted glass ring, a replica from the anime series Black Butler. Blue is one of my absolute favorite colors so I couldn’t resist purchasing it.

So that was my collection, for now! I might purchase some more in the future, because I’m bound to either lose or destroy some of these eventually. (Hopefully not though because I love them all).

Do you have any favorite jewelry?
