It’s always so difficult to think of things to put on a list like this! I guess I’ll just do general facts and hope no one knows them already, hah.

  1. I was born on August 21st, 1991 as the middle child in my family.
  2. I was in a major accident in August in 1999, where I was injured for life. I almost lost my leg, had to learn to walk again and I’m full of scars and my left leg is somewhat disfigured but functional.
  3. I have had cats for as long as I can remember. My current cats are 10, 12 and 15 years old. The two youngest are half brothers (They have the same mother. I don’t know if they know, but they are stuck together like glue, never leaving each other’s side.)
  4. When I was six, our parents brought us to Disney World in Florida. I can’t remember much from it, but I remember the house we rented and tasting alligators in Gatorland. It’s weird how memory works.
  5. When I graduated from high school, I had one of the highest grades.. Then college came around, my teacher hated me and I got the lowest grades for pretty much anything I handed in.
  6. I used to binge drink alcohol all the time.. Never said no to a party. Then, some years ago I realized I hated how alcohol made me feel, so I stopped drinking all together.
  7. Autumn is my favorite season. I love that it gets darker, because that means people with decorate with lights outside. I love listening to the rain all the time, and I won’t have to feel bad about spending my time inside.. I also don’t have to keep my curtains shut to keep the sun out anymore.
  8. I’m somewhat addicted to collecting succulents. Sadly, a couple of them has perished but the ones I have left thrive more than ever. I suppose I need to invest in a few more soon.
  9. I never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I still dont… I kind of want to work in a library, work with translating texts or work in an archive.. Not too keen on working with people so those are the best options.
  10. I really don’t like talking about myself. My anxiety always makes me feel like nothing I say is worth listening to so I tend to only listen in conversations, not really participating with anything new.

Is there anything people don’t know about you?

I did one of these kind of posts for my birthday, 26 things I learned in 26 years, but I thought I could add a few new, and pick out some that I did learn this year. Have you learned any lessons this year or has it gone by pretty smoothly?

  1. Phones are rarely ever water proof, no matter how much the company or salesman claims for it to be. They could be water resistant, sure, but not water proof.
  2. If you stop thinking of blogging as a hobby, it will quickly become a chore. You will get tired of it and you will lose motivation. Try to keep it fun.
  3. Always keep a copy of a document you have signed. You never know what they will do with it and if anything is altered without your permission, you still have the original document.
  4. It’ okay to not know what you want to do with your life, it’s okay to try new things and it’s okay to go back to school if you want. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It’s your life and you decide what you want to do with it, if you ever figure it out, of course.
  5. If you have the money and time for travel, do it! You would probably regret not going more than you would regret going. Just get yourself out there, it’s a big world that we have to explore.
  6. Nothing lasts forever and it is definitely best to try to enjoy what you have while you can, whether its physical possessions or people in your life. You never know when you would lose anything.
  7. It is possible to overcome anxiety. I have felt lately that my anxiety has gotten less severe. I’m able to be in social situations without feeling sick to my stomach and I don’t get panic attacks too often. It feels really relieving and I’m so happy that my life is slowly becoming more “normal”.

3 things about me

  • For a long time I was able to use my left hand just as well as my right. I had shattered my pinky finger on my right hand and had to learn to use my left while it was healing and in a cast.
  • My hair has been every color of the rainbow and more, except for blue. Not sure why it has never been that color though, it’s really pretty!
  • The thought of having cotton or paper anywhere near my mouth really freaks me out.. And it always makes dentist visits weird because they use cotton things to soak up any saliva or blood..

 Questions from Abby

  1. What’s your favourite thing about blogging? Being able to express my thoughts however I want, whenever I want.
  2. Whose someone you would like to meet? There are a lot of people, mostly those I have gotten to know through blogging, they are all so sweet! I’m really awkward in real life though, so I would probably scare them off.
  3. If you could be any animal what would you be and why? I would be a cat! All they do is sleeping, eating or receiving cuddles.. Sounds perfect!
  4. What would be your ideal Sunday? Writing blog posts, sipping on some sparkling water, listening to music then read for a while.
  5. Favourite Disney Movie? Hmm, I don’t watch a lot of movies, but I do enjoy Anastasia.

Questions from Nilsa

  1. What’s your favourite quote? This is from a video game, a bit silly but it has stuck with me for quite a few years. “Na via lerno victoria” It is in Tevene, the language of the Tevinter Imperium in Dragon Age. The quote means “Only the living know victory”.
  2. Do you have a celebrity crush?
Yes? Kinda? Does Ryan Haywood count as a celebrity? He’s oh so dumb but also lovely. And he lost his marbles a long time ago.

  3. What’s your least favourite thing about blogging? The spam comments… they’re so tiring to go through and to delete.
  4. Are you named after anyone? No, none that I know of!
  5. Scary movie or happy endings? And why? I prefer happy endings to scary movies, but my favorites are those movies where you don’t really know how it ends, it just leaves you with a million questions.

My questions for you

  1. If you could rearrange the seasons, in what order would you have them?
  2. Say, you get the chance to go to a different planet, would you do it?
  3. What is your favorite make up brand?
  4. What was your goal when you started blogging? Did/have you achieved it?
  5. Have you met anyone famous in real life? What was it like?

My best post

I’m not sure about this one! The one that has the most comments currently is “26 things I have learned in 26 years“.

I nominate anyone who reads this, so tag, you’re it! I’ve nominated so many people for this lately so if you want to do this, go ahead! I don’t want to end up nominating the same people over and over. 🙂

September goals

September 4, 2017 — 13 Comments

sept goals

Some goals will carry over from the previous month, some will be updated and some will be new. I feel like it’s really nice to have goals like these to keep yourself motivated throughout the month. The only unfortunate thing is that sometimes time moves by so fast that you’ll barely even get to finish any of your goals.

Finish reading what is on my currently reading list on Goodreads. I have finished some, added new ones, retired some. I’m really indecisive when it comes to reading, and finishing books. Any book titles with a strikethrough have been finished and most likely mentioned in my latest “What I read in…” post.

  • Hannibal by Mirko Jelusich
  • The Calling by David Gaider
  • Daughter of the Drow by Elaine Cunningham
  • Stars above by Marissa Meyer
  • American Gods by Neil Gaiman
  • A Warriors Journey by Paul Thompson and Tonya Cook
  • The masked empire by Patrick Weekes ( a re-read)
  • Last Flight by Liane Merciel

Do well in this work program I have been assigned to. I was contacted by a work counselling company that wanted to help me to find a job suited to my health needs. I’m really happy because I get financial compensation while doing this too. One step closer to a new job! I just have to make sure to do enough activities to complete it all.

Work out more. I started out well in August, then life took over, my brother’s wedding stress made things a bit difficult.. But I need to try to go back to what was.. Which was working out at least 4 times a week.

Be better at staying organized. I love creating new systems for myself when it comes to storage, taking notes, plan my time and so on. Sadly I also abandon new systems just as fast as I start using them.. I need to think of something universal.

Spend even less than what I’m doing now. I don’t think there is anything wrong with spending less and saving more. Though I think it’s kind of stupid that you work for an expendable income, but lord help you if you ever want to actually use that money..

Get better at drawing on a winged liner. I just suck at it. Really bad.. Need to fix that asap! I keep seeing pictures of people with perfect wings and it upsets me that I can’t do it too.

Do you have any goals for September? Tell me about them!

 3 things about me

  • I love Autumn, it makes me feel so at peace. I love it when it gets darker, when the leaves fall down and the world just prepares itself for winter. I love cozy sweaters, thick stockings, hot chocolate and anything else related to Autumn.
  • I don’t really give up easily, but I often feel defeated.
  • I can’t stand to talk on the phone. I hate talking to people over voice but not being able to see their reaction to what I say.

Questions from Grace

  • What inspired you to start a blog? The possibility of having a creative outlet. I’ve been reading blogs for years and finally decided I wanted one of my own so that I could share reviews and my thoughts on a variety of subjects.
  • How are you feeling today? I’m feeling okay! Been feeling a bit under the weather lately but it is picking up again. I’m also slightly nervous about a meeting I have to go to about work opportunities tomorrow.
  • What film can you watch over and over without getting bored of it? Howl’s moving castle. It has been my favorite film for so long and I don’t think I will ever get bored of it ever.
  • Someone that you admire and why? I admire all of the people out there fighting for their rights. No one deserves to be oppressed, to have their rights revoked or being treated like a lesser human being.
  • What is your favourite food? Good question! I feel like anything pasta or anything that has to do with potatoes. They are both very versatile food items and you can make a big variety of meals with them. I don’t really have one particular dish that I like the most.

My best post(s)

What goes into this one? The ones that have done well statistically or posts that I personally like the most? I guess I can link the ones that have received the most comments over the past year and a half.

My questions for you

  • What would be the title of your autobiography?
  • Is there an album you feel like totally represents you?
  • Is there a movie franchise (or just a single movie) you would love to be in?
  • If you had the chance to see yourself from someone else’s perspective, would you do it?
  • Have you ever thought about owning an exotic pet?
