The Rules:

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their site
  2. Write a paragraph of something positive about yourself
  3. Nominate and notify as many bloggers as you wish
  4. Use the award image

Something positive about myself:

I am a quick learner and I always try to find more efficient ways to do things. I have always learned things fairly quickly and I always try to set good routines for myself to make work or school less stressful. I don’t always religiously follow it by any means, but setting down the groundwork really helps with everything else. Without good habits it’s difficult to learn, it’s difficult to get things done and the result will be less than favorable compared to what I could truly do. I don’t think I would be learning as fast if I didn’t keep the same habits, and there’s always room for a change to make it more efficient.

Mystery Blogger Award

Thank you so much to Rei for nominating me for another one of these! You can read her post about this same award by clicking here. I really enjoyed reading her answers to the questions she received.

MYSTERY BLOGGER AWARD according to the beautiful Okoto Enigma ; An award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do with so much love and passion.

The Rules:

  • List the rules
  • Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog
  • Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well
  • Tell your readers 3 things about yourself

  • Nominate 10 people
  • Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
  • Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one funny or weird question (specify)
  • Share a link to your best post (s)

Three things about me:

  1. I once took an extensive personality test and the result was that I was 100% introverted and that I preferred acquiring knowledge.
  2. I own three cats but I want many, many more in the future.
  3. I try to not spend a lot of money but in this consumer world we live in, it’s quite difficult!

Questions from Rei:

  • Do you have any pets ?
I do, I have three cats, who are 11, 13 and 16 ish years old this year. Here’s some pictures of them:
  • What word would you use to define your sense of fashion ?
A walking funeral. I mostly only wear black and that’s what I love the most. Black on black is the best thing in the world. I don’t follow any trends though, I just wear whatever I am comfortable with.
  • What’s your guilty pleasure ?
Otome or dating sim games. They have always been my top guilty pleasure of all time.
  • Android or iOS ?
Android. I have never owned anything that runs iOS.
  • What are you insecure about regarding yourself ?
How I look, and how I speak. I have a very broad accent in my native language, and I’m very insecure about  my weight and how I look.

My questions for you:

  • What is on your bucket list this year?
  • Have you ever went out with someone you didn’t really want to but ended up hitting it off anyways?
  • Where do you see yourself in five years?
  • Do you see yourself as dependable?
  • If the world ended tomorrow, what would be your proudest achievement before we all went?

My nominees for either of these two:

Favorite childhood memories

Lise —  October 15, 2017 — 4 Comments
  • Visiting Walt Disney World in Florida when I was 6 years old. I remember seeing a 3D muppets show, watching the fireworks and eating so much candy floss that I felt sick. We also rented a house and there was a massive pool there.
  • Spending the summers in a caravan, having all my friends around, being able to go swimming whenever we felt like it. As we got older it turned into getting drunk and going swimming instead. Still fun.
  • Visiting my grandparents during the summer. Their garden was so big, and they always had Rhubarb ready to be picked and eaten with some sugar. They also had a small pond where the birds would come and bathe in and we loved watching that.
  • The year when I was in the accident that injured my leg for life (1999), I got so many birthday presents.. I’ve never received so many before and I remember being so happy that so many people were thinking of me when I was in the hospital.
  • Receiving my favorite cat back in 2005. I had found his mother famished the year before and gave her to some people who sheltered cats. They nursed her back to health, discovered she was with kittens and then during the summer of 2005 we got her back along with my favorite little guy. He’s not so small anymore but still my favorite out of the three I have.

  • Going on Christmas holidays to Tenerife. We wen’t about every other year from 2000~ish to 2013. I miss going there, it was nice to gather the family and go somewhere together. Now my brother is married and has moved far away so we can’t do like a traditional family holiday anymore.
  • Christmas Day lunches at my grandparents place. Every year the whole family would gather in their house for a Christmas Day lunch. It was always salmon, fully roasted and lovely. Sadly, both of my grandparents have passed away so we don’t really continue the tradition, it doesn’t feel right without them.
  • Visiting the grocery store with my grandma. She would always buy us these small lollipops and they were so good. Mum wouldn’t let us have candy on the weekdays but grandma always kept it a secret.

What are your favorite childhood memories?

It’s always so difficult to think of things to put on a list like this! I guess I’ll just do general facts and hope no one knows them already, hah.

  1. I was born on August 21st, 1991 as the middle child in my family.
  2. I was in a major accident in August in 1999, where I was injured for life. I almost lost my leg, had to learn to walk again and I’m full of scars and my left leg is somewhat disfigured but functional.
  3. I have had cats for as long as I can remember. My current cats are 10, 12 and 15 years old. The two youngest are half brothers (They have the same mother. I don’t know if they know, but they are stuck together like glue, never leaving each other’s side.)
  4. When I was six, our parents brought us to Disney World in Florida. I can’t remember much from it, but I remember the house we rented and tasting alligators in Gatorland. It’s weird how memory works.
  5. When I graduated from high school, I had one of the highest grades.. Then college came around, my teacher hated me and I got the lowest grades for pretty much anything I handed in.
  6. I used to binge drink alcohol all the time.. Never said no to a party. Then, some years ago I realized I hated how alcohol made me feel, so I stopped drinking all together.
  7. Autumn is my favorite season. I love that it gets darker, because that means people with decorate with lights outside. I love listening to the rain all the time, and I won’t have to feel bad about spending my time inside.. I also don’t have to keep my curtains shut to keep the sun out anymore.
  8. I’m somewhat addicted to collecting succulents. Sadly, a couple of them has perished but the ones I have left thrive more than ever. I suppose I need to invest in a few more soon.
  9. I never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I still dont… I kind of want to work in a library, work with translating texts or work in an archive.. Not too keen on working with people so those are the best options.
  10. I really don’t like talking about myself. My anxiety always makes me feel like nothing I say is worth listening to so I tend to only listen in conversations, not really participating with anything new.

Is there anything people don’t know about you?

I did one of these kind of posts for my birthday, 26 things I learned in 26 years, but I thought I could add a few new, and pick out some that I did learn this year. Have you learned any lessons this year or has it gone by pretty smoothly?

  1. Phones are rarely ever water proof, no matter how much the company or salesman claims for it to be. They could be water resistant, sure, but not water proof.
  2. If you stop thinking of blogging as a hobby, it will quickly become a chore. You will get tired of it and you will lose motivation. Try to keep it fun.
  3. Always keep a copy of a document you have signed. You never know what they will do with it and if anything is altered without your permission, you still have the original document.
  4. It’ okay to not know what you want to do with your life, it’s okay to try new things and it’s okay to go back to school if you want. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It’s your life and you decide what you want to do with it, if you ever figure it out, of course.
  5. If you have the money and time for travel, do it! You would probably regret not going more than you would regret going. Just get yourself out there, it’s a big world that we have to explore.
  6. Nothing lasts forever and it is definitely best to try to enjoy what you have while you can, whether its physical possessions or people in your life. You never know when you would lose anything.
  7. It is possible to overcome anxiety. I have felt lately that my anxiety has gotten less severe. I’m able to be in social situations without feeling sick to my stomach and I don’t get panic attacks too often. It feels really relieving and I’m so happy that my life is slowly becoming more “normal”.

3 things about me

  • For a long time I was able to use my left hand just as well as my right. I had shattered my pinky finger on my right hand and had to learn to use my left while it was healing and in a cast.
  • My hair has been every color of the rainbow and more, except for blue. Not sure why it has never been that color though, it’s really pretty!
  • The thought of having cotton or paper anywhere near my mouth really freaks me out.. And it always makes dentist visits weird because they use cotton things to soak up any saliva or blood..

 Questions from Abby

  1. What’s your favourite thing about blogging? Being able to express my thoughts however I want, whenever I want.
  2. Whose someone you would like to meet? There are a lot of people, mostly those I have gotten to know through blogging, they are all so sweet! I’m really awkward in real life though, so I would probably scare them off.
  3. If you could be any animal what would you be and why? I would be a cat! All they do is sleeping, eating or receiving cuddles.. Sounds perfect!
  4. What would be your ideal Sunday? Writing blog posts, sipping on some sparkling water, listening to music then read for a while.
  5. Favourite Disney Movie? Hmm, I don’t watch a lot of movies, but I do enjoy Anastasia.

Questions from Nilsa

  1. What’s your favourite quote? This is from a video game, a bit silly but it has stuck with me for quite a few years. “Na via lerno victoria” It is in Tevene, the language of the Tevinter Imperium in Dragon Age. The quote means “Only the living know victory”.
  2. Do you have a celebrity crush?
Yes? Kinda? Does Ryan Haywood count as a celebrity? He’s oh so dumb but also lovely. And he lost his marbles a long time ago.

  3. What’s your least favourite thing about blogging? The spam comments… they’re so tiring to go through and to delete.
  4. Are you named after anyone? No, none that I know of!
  5. Scary movie or happy endings? And why? I prefer happy endings to scary movies, but my favorites are those movies where you don’t really know how it ends, it just leaves you with a million questions.

My questions for you

  1. If you could rearrange the seasons, in what order would you have them?
  2. Say, you get the chance to go to a different planet, would you do it?
  3. What is your favorite make up brand?
  4. What was your goal when you started blogging? Did/have you achieved it?
  5. Have you met anyone famous in real life? What was it like?

My best post

I’m not sure about this one! The one that has the most comments currently is “26 things I have learned in 26 years“.

I nominate anyone who reads this, so tag, you’re it! I’ve nominated so many people for this lately so if you want to do this, go ahead! I don’t want to end up nominating the same people over and over. 🙂
