Top 5 Friday: Favorite Cleansers & Toners

  1. Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water – Garnier’s “regular” micellar water that works like a dream. It has no scent, removes even stubborn, waterproof mascara and it makes my skin feel really clean! Maybe not as soft as it’s oil-infused brother mentioned further down, but it’s still nice! I just finished a bottle, and I will definitely repurchase once I’ve used the other ones in my stash.
  2. Simple Micellar Cleansing Water – This is another good micellar water! It has a bit of a weird scent to it but it does its job and leaves my skin feeling good! It’s also the cheapest option I have in drugstores here so that is nice.
  3. Lush Tea Tree Water Toner – When I first purchased this I used it for all over the face, but I found that it works better as kind of a spot treatment. I use it on days when my skin needs a bit of TLC or if I have breakouts that need attention. It’s really soothing on irritated skin and I love using it. It is a bit pricey, but when I use so little at a time it lasts for quite a while.
  4. L’Oreal Age Perfect Toner – A toner made for mature skin (but it works really well for me too!), and it is enriched with vitamin C! It makes my skin feel rejuvenated and fresh and I enjoy it a lot.
  5. Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water – This one is like an enhanced version of the regular Micellar water, containing nourishing oils that helps remove make up and any dirt from your face. It always leaves my face feeling soft and clean. I also think its fun to just shake the bottle up and watch as the oil and water separates again.

What would be on your top 5?

If only Garnier would stop testing on the bunnies. Not only good for bunnies but would make life easier πŸ˜›

Yeah that would be great D: Their formula is so good so a cruelty free version would have been great!

Yea that’s what I gather, most ppl seem unimpressed with pretty much any other. So I’m sticking with the insanely bad for the environment (but good for bunnies!) makeup wipes.

I would have stuck with that too but my skin hates any kind of wipes no matter which one i try, the micellar waters are the only things keeping my skin happy right now 😦 Luckily the Simple micellar water is seemingly cruelty free so if this bottle truly agrees with my skin until the end then I can ditch the Garnier, i just have to get used to the scent.

My top 5 would all be Lush products!

    Cleansers:

    1. Let The Good Times Roll
    2. Aqua Marina
    3. Angels On Bare Skin

    Toners:

    1. Eau Roma Toner Water
    2. Tea Tree Toner Tab (half a tab mixed with water in a spritz bottle!)

Ooh nice! How long do you keep the toner tab water for? I read that it’s only good for a few days but I guess it depends on how you store it!

I couldn’t say exactly how long I keep the water for! The spritzer bottle I use to make the solution is only a travel sized bottle. so I’d only make 100ml or less of the toner using half a tab. Using the toner water twice a day, I’d always manage to use it all up before it went bad. Keeping it in the fridge helps it to last longer too! It definitely worked just as well for me as the pre-made tea tree toner water that Lush do – if not, then even better!

Hm, that’s interesting! And it definitely sounds like a cheaper option than paying so much for the tea tree water every day. I guess I will have to purchase some and try it out myself too! πŸ™‚
