I received the PBJ Smoothie stick in my Glossybox for June and I’m both impressed and disappointed with it. I have listed the main pros and cons below.

Pros:

  • It applies really easily, and i only need to coat my upper lip then transfer it to the bottom lip for a full coverage.
  • It is a lovely raspberry color and it looks really vibrant.

Cons:

  • It is kind of matte so it gets really dry after a while.
  • The color bleeds easily.
  • The color doesn’t last for very long.. Just an hour or two later i would have to reapply even if i hadn’t eaten or been drinking too much.

I do not feel like it is a bad product, but i think it should be paired with either a lip balm, or a moisturizing lip gloss of sorts. On its own it works for a while but it does make my lips feel so dry so I don’t really like using it for too long at a time, so maybe it’s good that the color doesn’t last for too long? It’s probably a bit soon to post a review already but I haven’t noticed my lips get any less dry over the course of the past days so I’m just going with my gut on this one. Matte lip products are infamous for drying out your lips too, so there’s that.

I would recommend it if you want a pretty raspberry colored base though, i wish i had some sort of gloss to go with it but i don’t own any similar colors.

Have you tried the PBJ Smoothie stick? Are you happy with it?
